Matthew Nangle soft indie pop with dreamy, ethereal tones... The Overall Theme is a Bit Dispirited, but The lustrous Guitar Play and Thumping Drum Beats create a Divine Atmosphere these folks use to their advantage by then layering, and Entangling The Listeners Ear to their Hazy Appealing Vocals , Yet Seemingly Angelic on the Harmonies... Tape Waves Sound from a Melody Standpoint is Reminiscent at times in my opinion to bands like Real Estate or Seapony. Favorite track: Always Shines.

This is one of my favorite all time songs. It hits a key of emotional connection in a relationship which is seldom touched on - casualness, trust, safety in lowering defenses. That's what I hear when I'm listening.

Tape Waves also has a hint of Twee (Tiger Trap, Jale, etc.) in the mix which I enjoy. Favorite track: Fine For Now.
